Barnsley hospice are looking for a volunteer to wear their mascot outfit for Saturday’s Championship football match between Barnsley and Bournemouth at Oakwell.

Said a hospice spokesperson: “We need a volunteer to wear the mascot outfit at this Saturday’s Barnsley game against Bournemouth, to walk around the pitch with the Reds’ mascot Toby Tyke.

“The volunteer would need to be at Oakwell from 2.15pm where they will be met by our fundraiser Sam Silverwood. If possible they will need to stay for half-time too.”

Anyone interested contact the hospice on either 01226 323627 or 01226 323628. Email: [email protected] or [email protected]

The hospice mascot, known as Oscar, is sponsored by Lifetime.
