A third of workers still do not have a retirement plan, according to a new survey.
The research, carried out on behalf of by Aegon, has found that workers are not setting up a proper financial plan for their retirement.
The survey of 14,400 employees and 1,600 retired people across 15 countries resulted in the following findings:
- 38% of workers globally do not have a retirement plan
- 42% of women don’t have a retirement plan
- 58% said they would include savings in their financial plan.
Many people expect that 46 per cent of their retirement income will come from a government retirement scheme – such as the state pension in the UK.
