I joined Bradford and Bingley in June 1987 and over 17 years and seven months with the company I progressed from an over-the-counter customer services adviser to more specialised and senior roles, including Mortgage Administrator and Mortgage Adviser, which then led to me being promoted to Independent Financial Adviser with professional certification.
In December 2004, following the sale of Bradford and Bingley’s advisory arm, I became the personal assistant to the Sales Director (Employed Sales Force – Yorkshire Building Society). When he became the National Sales Director at Legal and General, I moved with him as his pa.
In November 2009 I moved to the NHS, as an Equality and Diversity Administrator, before returning to financial services with Lifetime in March 2011. I was named Office Manager at Lifetime before moving departments to become General Insurance Manager with the company in November 2014. In January 2016 I became a Mortgage Adviser with Lifetime, before passing the required exams and establishing myself as a financial planner with Lifetime in August 2017.
