Chloe studied A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. She also completed an Extended Project Qualification on the merits of small-scale hydroelectric power systems in developing countries.

Her interest in STEM subjects included involvement in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. She was a member of the winning team in Leeds University’s competition to design a board game based on biomimicry and took part in the National Cipher Challenge for several years.

In addition to her academic qualifications Chloe took part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and a World Challenge expedition to Mozambique last summer. She works part-time as a tutor for students taking their A-Levels and GCSEs.  More recently she has been awarded a number of national engineering scholarships from The Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Range Rover Evoque WISE Scholarship.

Chloe is passionate about ensuring students currently making big decisions about their future have the information they need if considering a path into STEM. She would like to talk to students about her experience so far and the opportunities that studying science or engineering can offer.

Chloe is involved in a number of widening participation activities and is particularly interested in encouraging more girls into STEM as well as allaying many of the Oxbridge myths which circulate and limit the potential of promising students.
