Two Lifetimers put their ‘best foot forward’ on Sunday – to deliver fine runs in the Sheffield half marathon.

Pension Department Manager Tom Nelson (pictured below) and Mortgage Administrator Scott Kershaw were among almost 8,000 runners who took part in the popular event.

Scott (pictured below after the finish) came home in one hour, 38 minutes and 32 seconds.

Said Tom: “I was really pleased with my time [of 1-52] because initially I was aiming for around 2.05. It was a great event and I really enjoyed it.

“It was worth all the dark morning training!

“Scott did tremendously well. He must have belted round because 1.38 is a top effort!”
