Lifetime office administrator Amy Brown completed the Yorkshire 3-Peaks Challenge on Saturday (April 23) – raising money for charity with every step she took to the summit!

Said Amy (pictured below, right, with a colleague after completing the challenge): “There were around 25 of us who took on the Yorkshire 3-Peaks at the weekend. We were doing it to raise money for Bloodwise – Fighting Leukaemia.

“The walk was in memory of Ian Dixon, the dad of two of my close friends, who sadly lost his life to the disease a few years ago.

“A different challenging walk is completed each year in his memory.

“Pen-y-ghent was the first peak we hiked up. Then it was Whernside (the highest peak) and finally we clambered up to the top of Ingleborough!

“Myself and nine others completed the walk in 10.5 hours, setting off at around 8am and finishing at around 6.30pm.

“So far I have raised just over £220 for Bloodwise, which will be added to the sponsorship and donations from all others involved this year and on previous years, with a target amount of £8,000 overall.

“Around 85% of this has been raised already over the previous two years’ walks and when all donations and sponsorships from this year are collected we are very confident that we will reach that £8,000 mark.”

Well done Amy!
