Lifetime are linking up with Holy Trinity School as part of the next phase of their ‘Barnsley Inspiring Students’ project.

Lifetime’s Communications Director William Bottomley and Social Media Manager Andrew Lodge met with Holy Trinity Headteacher Simon Barber and the school’s Head of Business Studies and Citizenship Ged McInerney – and there was a mutual desire to get the ‘BBIS’ venture up and running at the school as soon as possible.

The aim is to have speakers going into the school from the start of the new school year in September, to ‘tell their tale’ and hopefully inspire the students.

Said Mr Bottomley: “The meeting was a great success. Both Simon and Ged were very enthusiastic and were extremely receptive to our aims and hopes for the BBIS project.

“We are really looking forward to working closely with them – and getting our many, varied speakers in to Holy Trinity to deliver their story to the pupils there.”

  • Lifetime’s BBIS scheme will be in operation at three Barnsley schools from September onwards. As well as Holy Trinity, and Horizon Community College, Darton College will also be involved.
