Thousands of small and micro employers say they will turn to financial advisers when they begin to auto enrol next year, according to the National Employment Savings Trust (Nest).

Nest questioned over 300 and 500 employers in two different surveys and found that 74% of small and micro employers wanted support from intermediaries such as IFAs to help with auto enrolment.

And 60% said they would be hoping for help with administration on an ongoing basis.

Based on their survey, Nest has predicted 5,000 small and micro employers across the country will seek financial advice for auto enrolment.

The survey also revealed 74% of small and micro employers do not currently offer a pension to their employees, and only 23% were confident about dealing with pension issues.
