The countdown is now well and truly on for the Lifetime-sponsored golf day at Silkstone GC.

The event, all in aid of Barnsley hospice, tees off on Friday, with a ‘shotgun’ start at 12 noon.

And interest in the day has been huge, with a sell-out number of teams – 23 – taking part and eager to plot their way around a terrific yet testing course.

Among the entrants are Lifetime’s own four-ball team; Doyle Consultancy; the Wortley Warriors from Wortley Hall; Chambers Roofing; Gibson Booth; Seaman Herbert & Co; two teams from Cooke & Mason; Barrett Excavation Ltd; The Alhambra Centre; Ron Carbutt Trust; The Un-Likely Lads and The Fab Fooour!!.

There will be also be the opportunity to ‘beat the pro’ on one of the par three holes.

The day’s schedule is as follows:

11am – Welcome breakfast and Registration

12 noon – ‘Shot Gun’ start, tournament will begin

6pm – Evening meal and prize presentation in the clubhouse

Refreshments will be available on the course throughout the day.

It certainly promises to be a brilliant event, and all in aid of a brilliant cause!
