Oscar gets charity event off and running!

Oscar, the Barnsley Hospice mascot sponsored by Lifetime, was one of the star attractions at Sunday’s Cannon Hall Run.

The hospice host the popular event, which covers 10 kilometres, and raise much-needed funds.

And Oscar helped the race get underway, on a glorious sunny weekend morning, by sounding the klaxon!

Nearly 400 first-time and experienced runners took part, with the route taking them  from Cannon Hall Farm, up to High Hoyland, dropping down to Cawthorne village, and then returning to Cannon Hall County Park.
