Lifetimer Bill and his three-minute bucket goes down a storm at university event!

“Some great presentation work by Lifetime – definitely drumming up student interest tonight!”

That was the twitter message posted by the University of Sheffield Careers Service – after Lifetime Communications Director William Bottomley (pictured below) and Social Media Manager Andrew Lodge joined the likes of HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Deloitte and CPA Australia at the University’s exclusive networking evening.

The event in the Discovery Rooms of the Students Union kicked off with short employer ‘pitches’, to give the university students an insight into some of the roles available to them in financial services, banking or accountancy.

And Lifetimer Bill went down a storm with his ‘pitch’, as he used a flip chart and his drawing of a ‘financial bucket’ to explain financial planning, a job he described as ‘the best in the world’.

He had only three minutes, and not the 10-15 minutes or so he usually takes to show clients, but he got the message across loud and clear, even though his ‘bucket’ was an unusual one (see picture below).

Such was Bill’s presentation that lots of students came up to Lifetime’s table afterwards to talk to him and Andrew about a possible career as a financial planner, to learn more about our company, and to watch our new animation video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdVxmrLojiQ).
