Lifetime Social Media Manager Andrew Lodge was delighted to play his part in Horizon College’s ‘I Know I Can Special Award’ ceremony at the Holiday Inn, Barnsley on Monday evening.

The glittering event, attended by a number of local dignitaries including the Mayor of Barnsley, author and former teacher Mel Dyke, and Barnsley FC player George Smith, saw 10 Horizon students presented with a ‘special award’ for going ‘above and beyond’ in their roles in their community.

Andrew, in his role as one of the patrons of Horizon’s IKIC awards, presented one of the trophies to student Aidan Stirk (see picture below) – and spoke a few words about him.

The students (pictured below) who picked up awards on the night were: Sasha Burns, Sarah Newsome, Teresa Doran, Lauren Rushforth, Courtney Markham , Joseph Kitchen, Rose Dyson
Oliver Creeton, Aidan Stirk, Charlotte Hollingworth.
