Lifetime has received a lovely ‘thank you’ letter from Barnsley Churches Drop-In Project, after our Lifetimers donated around 75 tins of tomatoes.

The BCDP secretary Caroline Hyde wrote: “We would like to thank everyone at Lifetime for their kind donations of tinned tomatoes to the Barnsley Churches Drop-In Project.

“We really appreciate your wonderful generosity. As a small charity we rely heavily on donations and could not run the project without such help.

“Our volunteers are now serving up over 1000 meals each month.

“In 2011 we served 7,438 meals; in 2012 we served up 9.651; and last year that rose to 12,114. The need just keeps on growing.

“We thank you for taking the time to think of our project and are very grateful and humbled y all donations we receive. We can assure you that our clients and indeed all of our volunteers are grateful for all that you have given.”
