The Lifetime-sponsored Barnsley Hospice golf day promises to be another smash hit on Friday.

The annual event, which raised over £7,000 for the Gawber-based hospice last year, always proves popular with local companies, and is once more a sell-out.

Silkstone Golf Club is the venue and 26 teams will take part, with a 12 noon ‘shotgun start’.

Entries include teams from Lifetime, The Elevator Company, Be Premiere Hair Barnsley, Barnsley Football Club (Ben Mansford) , Osborne Technologies (two teams), Copier Systems, The Alhambra, Seaman Herbert & Co Accounts & Business Advisers, NPS Group, DMSQD, Yorkshire Bank, BM Packaging, Chambers Roofing, CK Beckett, Cooke & Mason (Chartered Insurance Broker & Risk Managers; two teams), Ron Carbutt Trust, William G Search Ltd, Doyle Security, Raleys Solicitors, NPS and CR Plumbing.

We’ve even got a team entered that call themselves the Silver Tongue Cavaliers (thanks Phil McGowan!), while the Lifetime-sponsored hospice mascot Oscar might well make an appearance!
